Meet Our Founder

Vanessa Pichelli launched Siena Vida with the goal of transforming a hair accessories market that resulted in too much environmental harm and not enough product durability. A pioneer who has committed to the planting of a new tree for every new order, she continues to focus on listening to what people want and bringing trend-setting styles to life.

Sustainability

At Siena Vida, we appreciate that all life on Earth is impacted by the way we live our lives and the choices we make. That’s why we’re using all the resources we have - our business, our voice and our imagination - to do something about it.

Limiting our impact is not good enough for us - we strive to make a positive impact on the Earth and that’s why we plant a tree for every single order; with no minimum order value required. It’s our way of empowering you to join us on our mission to make a positive, long-lasting impact on the environment.

Locally Sourced Fabric

As a business, one of the most direct ways in which we can limit our ecological impact is by responsibility producing high-quality, long-lasting products sourced from sustainable materials and practices. Making the best product matters significantly for saving the planet from harmful consumerism practices.

That is why all of our sustainable fabrics are sourced from local, women-led businesses - we are driven to foster a strong community and a healthier environment.

Giving Back Locally

When we think about businesses giving back, we often picture enormous (and expensive) cheque presentations being given to charities. But there is so much more that can be done today to give back. Initiatives that go far beyond financial donations, and look to cement businesses as pillars of community betterment for generations to come.

It is for that reason that we are continuously promoting other amazing small businesses in our blog, planting a tree within our community for every order we receive and purchasing our sustainable fabrics from local, women-led businesses. All these initiatives are on top of the financial commitment we’re making to causes such as Women’s Habitat, World Vision Canada, and Light Up The Dark. These organizations are dedicated to the breaking of barriers, uplifting of women and positive mental health advocacy.
